This week, we learned about the derivatives of trigonometric functions. While it wasn't that hard of a concept to grasp, I did forget my product and quotient rules for the first little bit of the week, but I smartened up soon afterwards. What I found really helpful this week was the nDeriv function on my calculator. While it's a drag typing it all up, it gave me a good way to check my work, and it was thanks to that that I got 100% on the quiz this week.
Another big part of this week was compositions of functions, and the derivatives of such. The chain rule is applied here, in which the derivative of the inner function is multiplied by the derivative of the outer function. We did a neat little activity at the beginning to deduce it, and we applied it to a bunch of functions afterwards. I didn't really have all that much trouble with this one. I feel like I understand it pretty well, although there's probably going to be some sort of advanced application that I will struggle with. Time will tell.
